1) What program did you model the face in? How big is the model (polygons)?
It was all done in 3D Studio MAX 2.0. The model has 28,000 faces.

2) Is this image from an animation? What project is it for? What animation program was used?
Yes, we made Marilyn sing again :) We made an internal study about photorealistic characters and this picture is one of the results. Again, we used MAX.

3) Please describe how you went about constructing the image.
We used the subdivision polygon method. How difficult was it to capture the image of Marilyn Monroe so precisely? It was not easy 'cause we didn't have photos from the front and the side -- finally we sketched her (based on photographs) and it worked fine.

4) How did you create the hair?
Of course, this was the main problem, and Shag Hair helped us out. It took some time, because the plug-in is very complex AND a real hardware killer.

5) What kinds of projects does Virgin Lands Computeranimation do?
We are doing animations for TV, advertisement and computer games. The company was founded in March 1997, but we worked together in another company before.
